Having been a keen fisherman all my life and earned my living as a plasterer, I know the importance of correctly mixing any material. So, when mixing my groundbait I wanted to ensure it was right, with a good texture and any additive or flavouring evenly distributed throughout the mix.

I experimented with every utensil I could think of, whether it was kitchenware, homemade or otherwise, but unfortunately I never managed to find one which I was completely happy with. I therefore decided to design my own tool specifically for the purpose of mixing groundbait. 

I wanted the design to be easily cleaned, lightweight and able to be packed away neatly in my fishing bag. So I developed my own idea in order to achieve a final product, which ticked all of the boxes and is also cost effective. 

The Baitstir was launched in April 2021 and received fantastic reviews from top fishing magazines. I am selling the only hand-held bait mixer of its kind on the UK market.
